Cover part of the lidd, but letting always air flow.

Post a picture, if you can ;)

Ts aren't big fans of light. I wouldn't use the spot light. What species are you keeping? Most are more than comfortable at 72 degrees.

There are several wys to heat t's :).

It depends on how much do you want to spend, if something or nothing at all.

I agree, my A.genics cage reaches about 72F when her light is on during the day and she is fat and active.
Geniculatas have WAY bigger appetite than Smithi and Hentzi ;)

I don't know....my smithi seems to be competing with my genic over who can eat the most crickets, and the smithi is only kept at about 68F. ;)

Hmmm...normally they wont eat for crap if kept "cold"...You are lucky ;)
Also, as slings/juvies they might eat more often than when subadults...

Warmer temps(80's ) will speed up their metabolism, make them eat more often/they will grow faster=You will enjoy them a bit more since you are a newby in this.

But the T will live at 73F.

To raise safely the temps of your T's enclosures:

-Heat up the room where you have them.

-Cover part of the lidd, for moisture and to help hold the temperature.

-Use ceramic heat emiters, putting them better TILTED on top of the enclosures.

...There are many ways :).
