Well, I've been getting interested in the dwarf species as of late. I've especially taken a liking to members Holothele genus after reading that some of them lack urticating hairs (a NW species).

If anyone has input on this, feel free to post.

For anyone else who cares for dwarf species, please post pics and any good information pertaining to that species.

Thanks,

Jon

Holothele shoemakeri mature male @ 2.5"+

Holothele shoemakeri mature female @ 3"

Right now I don't know anyone else who has these. They're pretty fast...one of the fastest tarantulas I've come across in fact. From St. Thomas Island...like to burrow.

Thats amazing that a full grown tarantula can be that small. I looked at all the breeder/sellers sites I could find and didnt see any offered for sale. I'm assuming they must be hard to come by then....if they are even available at all? I knew the paloma was a dwarf species but I honestly didnt realise they were no bigger than a quarter when full grown. Thats just too cool.
