Loxosceles

Yeah, that is one big L. reclusa specimen, but thats nothing compared to the species Loxosceles laeta, from Chile, which can have 1" body length and nearly 3" legspan on average.

Yeah, I remember seeing a pic of one of those somewhere. I believe there was also some discussion about whether someone could get an importer to bring some in. Wonder if they ever did. Probably not or we'd have surely heard about it, huh?

Hey Gary, yeah that was me that posted that pic and post at petbugs of the spider. Yeah, I highly doubt anyone imports them though.

The ones I catch at my house are not that big. They are a lighter shade of tan and about 1 - 1 1/2 inches in size. I kill them when I find them. If you really want one, e-mail me and next time I find one I'll try to ship it to you. I find them most often in the spring when they come out looking for food/mates.
