Found this gal on the inside wall of a swimming pool when we removed the cover for the summer. I'd guesstimate her size to be 3-4". She had 2-3 molts hanging just below her or floating nearby.

So far she's enjoying her captivity as it includes a full buffet of roaches to her liking. She's already plumped up a great deal in 2 days of gorging herself.

I think I'm gonna name her Melandru. =)

Well, it looks like Melandru is definitely trying to be a mother. I have no idea if the eggs are fertile or not. She was wild caught as an adult, so you never know.

I noticed her doing some weird behaviour last night, snipping off the webbing on the walls of her viv and balling it up. Then woke up this morning to find her with her very own egg sac.

On a side note, my female Daring Jumping spider also webbed herself up and dropped an egg sac. Must be that time of year. ;)
