Grasshoppers are expensive to purchase. You might try buy a handful and breeding them at home. If you have an over abundance you can always turn some loose in the yard.
The USDA would not allow the sale/interstate shipping of grasshoppers because they are considered an agricultural pest. You can buy them in pet shops in Europe but not here. If you want to go to the trouble you could breed them yourself but that would be about the only way to have a supply of them.
I plan on attmepting to breed a species or two next summer. I'll let you know how it goes.
The link doesn't go anywhere. But going by the URL that is a Canadian company. I wish we could get them here. I like offering a variety of prey and the grasshoppers are a large meal.
Sorry. Here it is. http://crayfishshop.com/ From there go to "live foods." There is where you'll find Grasshoppers for sale. As stated, try purchasing a handful and raising them yourself not unlike roaches.
