I found this spider in my attic, it scared the hell out of me. ..
Never seen a house spider this big before, 4"
Where can i find info. about this spider, about what it eats, life span, etc..

It would be helpful to know where you live, but offhand, I'd say this looks like a big Fishing Spider, Dolomedes tenebrosus.

I believe you are right, it's a fishin spider. I live in the US.

Yup, a D. tenebrosus. I've found several in my home so far this year, and yes they are a bit frightening when you aren't expecting them. Like the one I found last night on the handle of the kitchen refrigerator as I just about touched it before I saw it.
