Thank you very much.
So to sum it up: bought as T. blondi for over 135€. It came poorly packed and in poor condition. But it's a T. stirmi- possibly female...
Good thing I asked experts!

In a nutshell, yes. T stirmi are normally cheaper than T blondi so up to you if you want to try and sort some kind of refund with the seller? Either way, you still have a very nice Theraphosa IMHO, none of the Theraphosa will disappoint. I have approx 30 Theraphosa (apophysis, blondi, stirmi) and are one of my favourites.

I will contact them, but mainly because of the really bad condition she came in.
Yes, I am really glad to finally get my hands on one of them. She is a real monster and very hungry and I will take good care of her

Was about to ask if 'she' has drank and eaten. I am glad she has and its nothing more sinister than just bad care by the previous owner....which is bad enough BTW!

When I first put her in her terrarium she drank 4 hours straight from wet moss. In addition I'm feeding her every 2 to 3 days a Dubia roach or 3 Lateralis roaches. She has a water dish in which she always puts a patch of moss.
Yes. I bought 'her' from a professional aquaristics shop. I just wrote them, that 'her' condition raises a lot of questions regarding their care and that's they sell the wrong species... If you want I let you know what's their reply.

Thats good news. She will soon recover and pack on some chunk in no time. Keep the water dish topped up and move the moss out regularly as she will be able to drink more from the water dish
Happy to look at response but don't name the seller on the forum as the mods will delete it. Can always just send me a private message.
The main thing is that she is in a better place now so keep up the excellent work to help her recover

Guess some people's view on what is 'kept well' differs immensely! She is in a better place now and she is a good looking spider so I am sure she and you will be happy together
