They described 9 new sps of the genus Epicratinus (Zodaridae) in homage to pop/geek/nerd culture:

E. temuerai, E. leia, E. luke, E. yoda (Star Wars)
E. baraka, E. raiden (Mortal Kombat)
E. arlequina (DC Comics)
E. smeagol (Lord of the Rings)
E. maozinha (Little Hands/My germs - Scary Movie 2)

That last one was awesome.
