I've had a 2.5" smithi for 8 days. I got a sac mate at the same time and it's doing just fine. This one has been in a stress curl since a couple of hours after I unpacked it. I figured it was just stressed and needed to settle in.
It moves around its enclosure, but it does so while in the curl... it never stretches out. It drinks from its water dish because I've seen it do so. It also has a hide available. I offered a cricket two days ago and it ate it.
I haven't messed with it at all other than to offer the cricket and to fill the water dish. I decided to see if I could get it to move tonight and I touched it gently with a brush. It just kind of stayed in one spot and "spun its wheels" in place so to speak. Like it was trying to move but couldn't get traction. I got it over to its dish in case it's dehydrated but it slowly crawled off away from it.
What should I do? Or is there anything that can be done?
