I have an ancient Betta named Ned. A couple of days ago I noticed a sort of blister or bubble sort of thing forming either on top of or just behind his left nostril. He was pretty lethargic until this morning, when I saw that it had burst. I sprinkled a little aquarium salt on him but I'm not sure what else I can do. He's more active this morning which is good, and more interested in eating, but he still has this gigantic bubble on his nostril.
I tried taking a picture but my camera couldn't do the job, it's all blurry and dark.
Ned has survived many things - he was found swimming in a toilet and has been in the family for 3 years now. I hope this isn't the thing that is the end of him.
