Schedule meaning I make note of when I feed, rehouse or molt so I can keep up with everything,
I have adhd too and thought the same way for awhile. The best thing about tarantulas is you don’t really need a schedule. Once you feed them you will notice their abdomen get bigger. Then eventually the abdomen will shrink so you’ll know it’s about time for another feeding, or with burrowing species a lot of the time they will be at the entrance of their burrow with their feet hanging out waiting for prey. In the beginning I hovered over them a lot expecting them to need a lot more attention than they actually do.

Thank you for this, I finally got to see their abdomen size just now for the first time and it looks like a good size!

Very excited that they came fully out of their burrow for the first time

Don’t use tongs to hold prey, that’s a very bad habit. They are capable ambush predators, no one needs to spoon feed a tarantula. Tongs are great for potentially damaging fangs, and serving as a climbing point for your T to escape and die.
That makes a lot more sense. My brain apparently died and forgot any other way to feed them  .

Wish I could find those style containers I had one but it got tossed. Without me knowing.

Ahh I often use tongs to drop food into the enclosure . I don’t spoon feed them with tongs like lizard keepers . That’s how broken fangs can happen.🤣🤣

Yeah ive seen a lot about the tongs and it was suggested to do so if you wanted to see your T take it as the prey will run into the burrow, I also held the butt of the red runner so it had more body than tong to go for but in future ill just drop it in

Schedule meaning I make note of when I feed, rehouse or molt so I can keep up with everything, Im autistic and have ADHD so lists and calenders make me comfortable for me as I have multiple pets + CB

"Works for us" meaning me + my partner

Hope this clears some things up, just trying to learn and enjoy my time with my pet :)
You can use tongs to drop prey, but to wait for T to take it NOTGOOD

Ah the two of you

Smart to make note of feedings, and molts will give you an idea of when the next time a molt will happen, not always, but there are definite patterns. I used to do it myself.

I hope you get a new brain

New home!

Took my time to house this baby safely, I think theyll appreciate the burrowing room as they outgrew their last one.

Welcome to your new home Bluey!

Nice I never seen any cages like this in a pet shop before was it special order?
I went to "aqua inn" which is a local pet shop in my area. The company DOES specialise in custom glass enclosures however this one was already on the shelf. They dont sell any online unfortunatly but they go to invertibrate shows around the uk!
