Here's my female guarding her second eggsac. I got 70 healthy spiderlings from the first eggsac. This girl is still quite small, and may still double in size!

Here are a few pics of my little guys (well, hopefully girls ;)).

The only one to make a burrow so far, the rest just hang out on the walls of the vials.

Just a note.... all the spiders in this thread labeled as Oligoxystre sp. "auratum" are likely Catumiri argentinensis.

Oligoxystre sp. "auratum" (?) or Catumiri argentinensis or whatever. Mature male.

Moderator's Note:
All of the posts in this thread were originally posted in the Genus Oligoxystre thread.

Since all of the spiders in these posts have proven to be Catumiri argentinensis, I have created a new Genus Catumiri thread and moved the posts here.

A couple of my little females, which are the offspring from my eggsac in '06, are now moms themselves.

Hi Eric,

that's great,,,nice work on the breeding program

interesting to see that they dont burrow nor you provide a hide...are they taht easy to breed? do you keep them dark all the time or are they happy as they are in pics?
