+1 with cold blood. The members here just give the best advise that they can based on the information available to them. We're all here to learn and give our opinions based on the experience of ourselves and other members. Please don't be offended.

I have researched these T's,bought the
revised Schulz book and as a professional ecologist specialising in Invertebrates I am more than aware of the needs environmentally to reproduce their habitat preferences so
Are you referring to Stan Shultz's TKG? If so you should know that some of his husbandry practices are dated and he has frequented this sight looking for info and ideas as to what needs to be revised in the TKG volume 4...

As for the second statement in the above quote... if thats the case you should of known that Grammastola periodically fast... In all honesty with an education like that YOU should be answering OUR questions!

Also some glareing irregularities... Male Arachnids have palps not palms and not untill they reach full sexual maturity.. male and female G.rosea look basically identical untill the males ultimate molt...what are you baseing its sex on at the moment? Rocks/stones pose a huge risk to the T if it falls while climbing (your first pic)...

And finally any good spider keeper will tell you most Ts can go a very very long time without food as long as they have access to..... YOU GUESSED IT! DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE...DHMO... H20...WATER!!!

I'll never understand keepers that ask for info.. Get reliable info and then swing there nutnfancys In our face like we don't know anything...

OP mentioned in her third post that she did research, then again in her 4th one and when someone tells OP to do research after those two post and makes a very broad(and wrong) statement about every information she has being false(unless roseas somehow don't get bald patches when they flick lots of hair?), OP corrects him saying research was actually done but got contradicting information from it(not surprising with all the bad caresheets out there), mentions why it's important to do so by sharing some personal background and shares disappointment perceived in some of the peoples replies after saying being indebted to us for the knowledge we shared and then OP is told she's rude and that she perceives others tone the wrong way?

If tone is perceived only by the reader, you're no better yourselves with all those replies, especially after such a mild post.
As usual, people here are trying to be helpful, but some don't bother taking the time to actually read the posts properly and others make assumptions from general statements which leads to things like this. It's strange how it's never the fault of the people in here and it's always the one asking the questions who's in the wrong when they get offended by something even though this happens a lot in here, much more than any other forum I've ever frequented.

Being an ecologist specializing in invertebrates doesn't mean knowing absolutely everything about every single one of them.

And BTW, Stan's book isn't a bad information source in this situation since it's exactly the kind of tarantula he spent decades owning. Some of it is outdated, but most things about Grammostola is very likely still on point.

Never said it was but in my IMO if it says anything about letting a fasting spider go without water that section needs some work..
