The most expensive mantid I've seen was this giant version of phyllocrania paradoxa that went for 600$ alive, and 400$ as pinned specimens. I've only seen 2 ever in the hobby.

Really ? How big were they ? I've never heard of that. For $600 they better be like 16 inches or something lol.

They were about 8 inches, but these were supposedly the only two in taxonomy.

Are there any photo's , links, or references to this. Not that I don't believe you, I would just like to see for myself, sounds awesome.

The site I found it on was a taxonomic site, listing mantis species. I believe this is the mantis, can't find the name. EDIT: Found the species. It's Parablepharis Kuhlii
