Hi, Thanks for confirming this sad bit of news. Turtle painting has been outlawed, so there is a precedent to attack this practice if you wish to pursue it. The state dept of fish and game, local humane society type groups and pothers may be useful...please let me know if you need specific references and I'll look into it further, best, Frank
