Strange orange substance in T's back?

I noticed my was kicking hairs and preening so I went to take a closer look and saw this strange orange thing on their back, anyone know what it could be? It doesn't look like a bald spot to me, idk what it is

From what I can see, it's give or take if they molt out of it or if they decline.

No real ideas why it can happen, like cancer in humans, sometimes it just does. It can 100% be dangerous, but like radiomace said there’s a 50/50 chance it’ll go away with the next molt or get worse. I’d suggest reading up on tarantula cysts using those articles.
