A surprising turn of events...my wee D sp panama who wrestled a cricket as big as she (above), stalked and then pounced on a red runner nymph last night. Then she jumped back like she was shocked and ran. Fast little bugger got a couple of laps in as I was trying to grab it with the tongs while my little one fled like she was being chased. Still not sure what happened there, as the interwebs said they don't bite? Guess she'll just be a cricket girl. She promptly pounced on a jet of water this morning, so she obviously got over last nights trauma. I swear this <1" spider is more food driven than any others I have...except my genic.

It's unsexed, a little under an inch DLS. They're growing fast, though, and have a voracious appetite.
