A friend that got me started in my journey let me mess about with a jar full of molts. I should have known I was in trouble from the smile he had the entire time.

Theraphosa stirmi (AF) She had been paired is looking g particularly large ATM so 🤞🤞 It never ceases to amaze me that the abdomen of a Theraphosa only just begins to match the carapace in size when it gets particularly fat. Just goes to show what huge spiders they are in terms of proportions...

Update from above.
Both AF P mascara have produced a sac/in process of producing one

Both females paired with multiple successful inserts (x4 each) end Aug/September. Yes the male was a very busy and happy boy.

1st female paired has a sac
2nd female paired, about to drop any moment. Impressive nest built.
