Your GF is a smart lady then, dude. The pulchra is unlike any other T when it matures into its awesome velvet black appearance. And while you're at it, consider getting a G. pulchripes too. Also very active, great eaters, and grow MUCH quicker and MUCH larger than the pulchra.

Actually there's other black velvety species. Pulchra is not unique in that regard.

Yeah for sure. I think pulchra is a notch below some of the Lampropelmas in appearance (in my opinion of course). Lampropelma sp. 'Borneo black' is a stunning example. Awesome genus.
