Too bad it's just restricted to Ts. My favorite is Tethys vagina, but it's not a spider.

haha!

There are some that I never can pronounce, unless I look it up :D And even then I find myself still saying what comes naturally, lol.

geniculata is also fun! :p

BTW, if you dont know how to pronounce a name, here ya go :) http://atshq.org/articles/beechwp1.html
Thanks for that! Psalmopoeus was a poser for me.
I also like "cyaneopubescens" My kids and I add a bit of a tune to the names to help us rember them. Geniculata and aureostriata are also our favs.

I particularly like Cyriopagopus because i got 2 weeks off work, when i told the boss i was real sick and had been diagnosed with a bad dose of 'Cyriopagopus.'

But i dont like being subjected to some geeky-twerp who thinks if he memorises 50 latin names and repeats them endlessly, i will consider him an expert ! :embarrassed:

"Hmmmmmm, yes....... no, you see. You can no longer call that species a Lasiodora cristata. It has been renamed with an even more stupid name, Its er, erm........ Nhandu chromotomato-us." AAAAAARGH, leave it alone !

thanks for the great sire whyte dragon!

I'd have to say Brachypelma Vagans is my favorite name. Maybe because I own two and say it a lot, but I think it sounds like an alien villain.

I like Avicularia versicolor. I know that Avicularia more or less means "bird-eating," and I guess that "versicolor" means "many-colored" or "varied-in-color". So, putting it together we would get "many-colored bird-eater".

I like to parse words... LOL.
